Hi, I’m Emma. I own and run Southern Forest Soaps, and I am the creator of my nourishing tallow products that get handmade in the Walpole Wilderness, in the very south west of Western Australia.

I started making my tallow soaps as a hobby in 2021 in my parent’s kitchen. I was curious about animal based skincare and after watching a YouTube video on how to make tallow soap, I gave it a go. After enjoying my soaps myself and family members telling me how the good soap was, I decided to see what would happen if I opened an Etsy shop, having no expectations of anyone buying my products. A few years later and I now have amazing customers who enjoy my products as much as I do and continue to keep coming back for more.

I create from a small kitchen in Walpole. I source my beef suet from local farms and then render it down to tallow which then it the main ingredient of my products. I hand pour all soaps and candles to ensure my products are of a high quality.
As an off-grid, environmentally conscious, nature loving woman; I aim to keep creating products that are good for the environment, can be re-used or recycled and most importantly are nourishing for you and your skin.
